Ceramics

My ceramic practice is grounded in explorations of community, desire, and race. I often revisit and reimagine tradition forms, such as jugs made by enslaved potters in 19th century South Carolina, or classical vases from Ancient Greece. Centering black women's pleasure, safety, and power, my work makes room for the creation and cultivation of new liberatory rituals.
